INTERWEAVE ®

Interweave a mindful movement that develops an inward sensing of the body as a gateway to stress reduction, self-discovery, healing and vitality. A body journey that is both grounded and ecstatic, Interweave puts transformation into practice – identifying old patterns of being and re-patterning new ways of being while cultivating connection with self, community, and spirit. This work is influenced by meditation, free-style dance, chakra therapy, Focusing®, archetypes, shadows and self-compassion. Interweave is a medicine for our disembodied culture, calling us back to our bodies with loving presence.

Interweave's own Katie Wells will be presenting movement meditation at this retreat. Other amazing presenters include:

Leia Jones

Leia Jones will be sharing a morning yoga practice as well as a soulful, water inspired bellydance. With a degree in Dance and Choreography from Hollins University, and a teaching certificate in Hatha Yoga, her personal practice is rooted in the unification of yoga and dance. Through this combination she brings mindfulness to movement inspiring us to quiet the mind, come deep into the body, and connect to our joyful-spirit.

REGINA SANFORD

Hampton Roads native Regina Scott Sanford uses original genre-fluid songs and spoken word to create an inspiring and uplifting multimedia performance.
*Consciously Positive Content With Positively Conscious Intent**

Katherine Ashera Rose

Ashera will be holding a deepening sound and song temple to root us in our first evening of the retreat. She seeks to cultivate connection and beauty through the awakening of the heart, creative expression, and intergenerational community celebration. She is an interfaith minister, mentor teacher of the Dances of Universal Peace, author and teacher of art of peace curriculums, Reiki and healing sound practitioner, Connection Practice Coach, and lifelong songstress and dancer.  She has directed programs for adults and youth in religious, educational and community settings.
